Finn, Jake and Lady Rainicorn logo

This is my second logo idea for our Adventure Time themed ride at Paultons Park. I have used the two main characters from Adventure Time to be in the center of the logo as the ride itself is called 'Finn and Jakes Weightless Adventure' and they are Finn and Jake.I have also shown Lady Rainicorn as she is also a key character and she is featured in the ride as the cart. Also she possesses very bright and eyecatching colours which will grab people attention.
I have used this particular font for the typography in this logo as it is quite bland so it doesn't distract from the images and it doesn't make the logo look to cluttered. I chose the font colour as a neutral blue as it is warm and welcoming and it also reflects the colour of the sky to add to the 'weightless' feel of the ride.

Lady Rainicorn Logo

This is a logo I designed for my ride idea at Paultons Park. I chose to feature Lady Raincorn as she is one of our main characters, as she is the rollercoaster cart. I chose to use this style of font because it is quite plain and simple and wouldn't distract from the main focus: Lady Rainicorn. I also chose this colour for the font as it too is plain and uninteresting and wouldn't distract from the bright colours of Lady Rainicorn. I used the pen tool to create the movements and curves of the text by drawing the path for the text to type across. I then selected the type on a path tool in Photoshop. I chose to create the text in this way as it creates an illusion that the text is moving freely and weightlessly which is the message that our ride is trying to send.

Black and White Bowie With Colour Lightening

David Bowie in Photoshop

This exercise was to gain experience using various tools on Photoshop. This tool was the 'stamp tool' and i chose to practice on a picture of David Bowie. I pressed 'shift' and clicked on a part of the picture, his face, and then wherever i clicked after, the part of the image i clicked on would copy there.

David Bowie Layout using InDesign

For this exercise we were asked to create a mock up poster advertising a subject of my choice. I chose David Bowie. I planned four designs on paper and chose this one as i think the use of his Lightening Bolt style stood out as opposed to the other three designs. I firstly used the pen tool to create the first red lightening bolt then made another and made this one blue and put it slightly to the left of the first one to create his red/ blue lightening look. I then used the arched pen tool to create the close eyes and then, using the pen again, wrote 'David Bowie' and adjusted the positioning of the text. I then made three columns of text adjusted the positioning until I was happy with where abouts it was.
